The extent and quality of Professional Development opportunities I was exposed to, the breadth of roles I was empowered to play, the patient and genuinely supportive attitude of my peers and mentors… all these amazing experiences combined with the infectious culture of consultation, collaboration and CONSTANT LEARNING at Gateway have undoubtedly transformed my understanding of education and child development… But what I believe truly sets Gateway apart is how it has taught me to set the highest benchmarks of excellence for myself every single day…Thank you Gateway, none of this would have been remotely possible if you hadn't chosen me!
The time I spent at Gateway is undoubtedly one of the turning points in my life where I realized that I really want to be a Special Educaiton Teacher! Without the support, training and opportunities provided by this team, I would never have had the chance to work with such amazing children and recognize the career I want for myself and strive towards achieving it.
Gateway was the best first job experience I could have ever wished for! I woke up happy and looking forward to work everyday! Serving as a teacher at The Gateway School of Mumbai has been a profound learning experience! Being a new teacher who does not have a traditional teaching background/qualifications, I am blessed to be a part of a school that provides spaces for continuous training through its wide variety of professional development workshops along with further support from mentor teachers closely guiding and empowering me to develop my teaching skills. I strongly believe that it has been the school’s collaborative culture which multiplies the passion, dedication and knowledge of the teachers where the teachers are ‘learners of their own teaching.’ This inspires me to reflect on my teaching practices and persevere to make each classroom experience more enriching for the students.
Working at The Gateway School of Mumbai is an invigorating experience as well as a pleasure and privilege. The team consists of dedicated and committed professionals, who strive for excellence in vision and in implementation. They realize that value of collaboration, intentional instruction, and strong relationships with parents and students. My move from the schools in United States to Gateway has been seamless due to the progressive group of educators, who have kept abreast of current practices through professional learning communities and in-house professional development.
