Gateway ventures into the world of Educational Technology!

Gateway's research department is in full swing! Thanks to the generous support of the legendary actors, Mr. Dharmendra and Mr. Bobby Deol, and our founder Ms. Indira Bodani’s brother, Mr. Sanjay Kanungo, we have partnered with Zaya to develop India's first ever mobile app to build foundational literacy skills - FABLe. Two of our team members presented about the research methodology behind the assessment tool at ICERI2019, an international education technology conference in Seville, Spain. We also conducted our a demo session with the PDP participants and we'll be piloting the tool with Gateway and our partner schools in the next few months.
If you're interested in partnering, or to know more, please contact fable@gatewayschoolmumbai.org.

Shridha and Gateway Engage with the Community in Indore!

Gateway has collaborated with a family to start a school for students with special needs in Indore. Shridha, our partner school, opened its doors in August. Two of our team members had an opportunity to visit Shridha this October. They met with the Shridha team, interacted with students and parents, and also reached out the over 200 members of the Indore community to spread awareness about how best to serve students with special needs. This brings us one step closer to our vision to spread best practices to the community in India!

High School Students' First Performance at an External Venue!

After months of preparation in the form of research, script readings, character sketches, set and prop design, choir practice, creation of live music and practicing a number of performance skills, our high school students performed on a large platform; Mysore Association Auditorium. Their very first professional performance experience at an external venue saw our students transfer their learning from the classroom onto a big stage.
“The Rising City”, consisting of  four fictional stories based on real events and situations in the city of Mumbai from the 1500’s to the present day saw our young performers deliver educational and cultural content to an audience of over 450 people! We’re all immensely proud of our students for this achievement and look forward to seeing them immerse more deeply within the arts in the future.
